21 08 07 - Amy Thomas is a talented young jazz singer with a 
classically training who sounds as delectable as she looks. Choosing
a burlesque theme for this foray into the Fringe, Amy sang original
material with a 'Let them eat cake' theme to her show, combining the
ambience of the Court of Louis XVI with the atmosphere of Weimar 
Cabaret. As a fresh singing voice she was far better value than some 
seasoned, regular Fringe performers have become. The sound quality in
the jazz bar was excellent and it was a pleasure to see a genuinely 
talented performer in the burlesque style for a change, which is the 
way it should be. This was her first night of the show and the 
narrative which strings the songs together could only improve during
the run. As for the burlesque aspect, well only her gloves came off 
which was 'tease' enough to accompany such an engaging jazz
performance. Check out this undiscovered dark gem of the Fringe 
and a remarkable star in the making.
