Title: To be Conformed

25 08 07 - 'To Be Conformed' had a three and a half week run at the 
Roxy Art House and I caught this remarkable, energetic show on its 
closing night. I would say that the cast had long been existing on
nervous energy alone if the whole run kept to the same madcap pace
that they displayed at its end. Young thesps gave their all and
there were not half bad in this series of pastiche sketches 
intermingled with pandemonium, stompy music, absurdity and movement.
Fast paced comedy, double entendre, mime and voiceovers gave life 
to some original though quite ludicrous material. A hairdresser of
'pubic hair,' Myspace time-wasting, a monologue on identity by an
existential clown, an insane audience survey half way through the
show. Another monologue on clingy relationships and an improv 
ending on the edge of suicide by the edgy cast member who took 
it on. The manic routines between the comedy was fun and the 
company succeeded as an engaging and talented group of banshees 
working themselves to destruction.
