Title: Club Vague - Lost Vagueness

24 08 07 - Club Vague was billed as providing an unforgettable 
Cabaret, Musical  and Burlesque spectacular for the festival. The
production certainly did so on the final night of its run at the 
Jam House (ex BBC concert Hall in Queen Street.) Karen Cruiks the
producer had to overcome some spectacular hurdles in staging the 
show there at short notice when the originally billed venue had 
problems which meant it could not be used. The show ending the run
featured some of their best acts; 'The Perverted Turkeys' dance 
comedy duo; Imogen Kelly, Burlesque Queen; Deviant Aerial, stunning
trapeze; music from live band 'The Lovers,' cheeky bossa nova; 
guest Frank Sanazi. Other stunning acts featured on different 
nights, such as Keda Breeze, Burlesque; Cous Cous Torture Company,
vaudeville; Paul Zenon, illusionist. In the year that 'LaClique' 
stayed home, Karen Cruiks LV show could have filled the gap it left
several times over, featuring some of the best acts for its genre 
in the world. In all events the run was cut short but the quality 
of the LV nights that went on at the Jam House were still 
unsurpassed. It is to be hoped that they come back another
year!
