Title: The Matrix: The Pantomime - Two Shades of Blue

19 08 07 - A surprising spoof panto of the cult movie, emanating 
from an Oxbridge collaboration of the respective universities light
entertainment societies. The show I saw was totally sold out and
though I took my seat half way through the opening sketch there was
a strong feeling in the auditorium that this was going to be truly 
funny production! The audience was briefed to hiss and boo the 
baddies at the requisite panto moments. There followed characters
in dark suits, shades, song, dance and monologues of a dark and 
Matrix inspired panto nature. The audience loved it, Neo blundered
through the plot with some rather good lines and even better gags!
Add a sub-text to the daft plot that everything in the computer 
generated world tasted of Kentucky fried chicken and you have a 
geeks weird dream. (The show may have had some other companies in 
which may account for the fifteen or so people that left half way 
through and another 20 at the climax.) By the end, everyone is on 
stage, Neo gets his computer generated girl and the cast get a well
deserved round of applause.
