26 08 07 - This is the story of the history of the Bush 
administration for everyone that hates both him and what his 
administration stands for, through its actions and policies in the
US and around the world. It's a biting parody and agit-prop diatribe
loosely inspired by the satirical, clip art, internet comic strip by
David Rees. Its also executed by some very professional, acting, 
Austin liberals from deep in the heart of Texas so they must know 
what they are talking about! It has an hysterical sometimes foul 
mouthed delivery, plus an innovative and commanding use of OHP 
overhead projectors that is almost choreographic. Its wonderfully
funny but this does not undermine its enduring sense of anger and
outrage at the latest excesses of the post 9/11 new American 
realpolitik. The show is especially slick, has full command of
hundreds of facts, entertains and educates with a full use of 
'information cascade' methodology. If you are as angry about the
state of the world and the way in which democracy can be subverted
at home then seeing this show may give you some peace of mind in 
that you are not alone! Rude Mechanicals were winners of the "Total
Theatre Award" for "Best Original Work from an Ensemble."
