midnitec.txt --- http://www.nightnews.net/fringe2007.htm#car Title: Midnight Carousel 2 gold bats http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c88KcZ5JgXo 12 08 07 - Lovely Marysia not only performs in her Primitive Man show at Fringe 2007 but is also compere and booker for 26 or so nights of the flagship Midnight Carousel, a burlesque, cabaret and debauchery review show at C. Introducing the acts of the night with songs from her own show and some light, self deprecating quips, you will see a funnier side to Marysia who is in fact a pretty funny, deadpan and dry comedienne as well as a notable singing siren! On this particular night we were introduced to Greek humour from stand up, 'Manos the Greek. Spirited song from the zombie undead cast of 'Famished the Musical' ('A Foggy Day in London Town' and 'Night and Day!') There was also retro burlesque from 'Wild Card Kitty'; dance and physical theatre from Prague, another Music Hall slapstick act and filthy Finnish stand-up comedian 'Bo.' Some was good, some was interesting and worth tracking down later. In the bear-pit atmosphere of Midnight Carousel, the audience just talked over the acts that failed to capture their attention right away. The Midnight Carousel is an essential 'fringe experience,' and well worth 5 golds on its best nights. Marysia ended on the ultimate note with, 'If you don't want to f**k me baby, f**k off!' by John Vassallo
